Youth Education Updates
Prek K & Kindegarten
Sunday School for Ages 3-5
This program is wonderful opportunity for children to follow that natural gift of seeking a relationship with God. This adult-led group is positive, developing sense of wonder of God’s creation. The group shares Bible stories, music, games and more that help to spark a lifetime journey in His Holy Church and the Catholic Faith.
GRADES 1 - 6
Bus Transportation from WLC/WMS is provided for grades 1-6 by the parish. The bus leaves the Middle School location at 2:15 PM promptly! Riding the Religious Ed. bus is a privilege and all students must comply with the same policies set by the School District of Waupaca. Parents are responsible for transportation home.
Grades 1 - 5
- The program used for Grades 1 -5 is called, Alive in Christ by Our Sunday Visitor
- Original spiral curriculum ensures consistent progress and development
- Faith content is developed throughout with Scripture integrated into each lesson
- Four pillars of the Church—Creed, Sacraments, Commandments/Morality, and Prayer—are integrated
- Abundant prayer opportunities invite personal and communal prayer
- Online resources available for catechists, parents, and children to supplement and reinforce the concepts taught in class
The EDGE program together with a rotation of the ALPHA Youth Series, is supplemented by Our Sunday Visitor in order to meet curriculum benchmarks and requirements. This program is also used for 7th and 8th grade curriculum.

Grades 7 & 8
The EDGE program together with a rotation of the ALPHA Youth Series, is supplemented by Our Sunday Visitor in order to meet curriculum benchmarks and requirements. This program is started with our 6th grade students and continues through 8th grade.
The 7th and 8th grade students meet each week in the Religious Education wing of our building in the Holy Family Room. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Sessions each week include videos, prayer, stories, activities and discussion. Community awareness is also achieved through community service projects.
We ask that parents Kindly drop your student off no earlier than 6:55 p.m. and pick them up at the end of class.

Grades 9 & 10
This program incorporates components of Religious Education and Youth ministry. Service to the community is a large part of the High School curriculum as students and parent chaperones volunteer at local nursing homes and the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home throughout the year.
Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm - 8:30 p.m. and include videos, prayer, stories, activities, and discussion.
Summer service immersion opportunities and youth conferences are also offered.
Grades 11 & 12
These are the immediate formation classes for Confirmation. The students are divided into small faith groups, which are pastored by an adult leader. Faith sharing and discussion are a large part of this program. In addition, the small groups are involved in planned community service outings, share meals and enjoy other activities together.
The junior and senior students meet in the Education Wing from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm each Wednesday.
Willing students are confirmed in the Spring of Senior year.
