Fr. Xavier Arockiasamy Santiago

Fr. Xavier Santiago is a priest from the diocese of Sivagangai, a southeast region in India. He is the oldest in the family of three with the brother and a sister. He is from a rural community. He was ordained as a priest in April 2007. He was an associate pastor in three different parishes for three years. From 2010-15, he was a pastor in one of the parishes in the diocese. He came to the diocese of Green Bay in 2015. He was a pastoral administrator at St. Peter and Paul Weyauwega and Sacred Heart in Manawa. In 2018, he started his ministry as a pastoral administrator in Waupaca. He is happy to be here. Welcome everyone to the community!

Deacon Robert Precourt

Deacon Bob has served as an ordained deacon in the Diocese of Green Bay for nearly 20 years. Before being appointed here in 2021 by our diocesan bishop, he was full-time leader of several parishes without a resident pastor with Senior Priests helping with weekend and holy day Masses.

Before his diaconate ministries, Deacon Bob owned a media management and production business specializing in safety videos for large-corporation employees. He also taught at the college level for several years and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Media and a Master's Degree at Thesis in Theological Studies. He is married to Joan, a Catholic school teacher, and Joan and he have three children, Ben, Grace, and Laura. He says he feels God working in every aspect of the St. Mary Magdalene community and is blessed to be with us.

Pastoral & Liturgical Minister

Deacon Jim Trzinski

Deacon Jim was ordained in the Diocese of LaCrosse in 2010. He has been working for the Diocese of Green Bay since 2012, serving as Pastoral Leader at St. Paul in Plainfield, All Saints in Denmark and also as Pastoral Associate at the Catholic parishes of Kaukauna.

Deacon Jim leads up many different unique ministries including Bow Hunting for God, Fishing for the Lord, Campfires with Christ and Finding God on a Four Wheeler. He has been married to his wife Leigh Ann for 26 years and they have two children, Zach and Courtney. They currently reside in Amherst Junction.

Becky Lange

Joyous greetings! While my professional background includes a degree in Elementary Education and years of experience in mission, ministry and retreat work, my most rewarding, (albeit humbling), title is none other than "Mom" to five wonderful children.

Our family enjoys camping, watersports and being together in the great outdoors! (Fun fact: Before we moved to Waupaca, my husband and I came to mass at SMM right after we found out we were pregnant with our first child, since we were camping at Hartman Creek!)

I come here with excitement, yet humility, as not an "expert" to lecture, but as a companion in the trenches of Catholic parenthood. I am here to encourage, support and grow along with you as we teach our children to know love and serve God in this life and be happy with him in the next!

Pat Dwyer

Pat is a retired educator with experience as an instructional leader, principal and director of special education. My background offers talents as a project oriented worker, who uses positive communication to help others.

We have been active members of the community and our parish and our family has lived in Waupaca since 2000. We were members of the old church and have grown with the parish at our church's current location.

I am a thankful and proud grandmother to our 3 children and currently 3 grandlovies, as well as 5 grand-dogs. I am the social one in our family, I enjoy social events, playing games and cards, exercising, visiting family and enjoying our wonderful Wisconsin seasons, especially winter and snowmobiling (my husband, Tim's love, I love hime, so I also enjoy his passion). I look forward to working as the volunteer coordinator and getting to know the parish families and talents.

Art Hill

Art’s family moved from Wisconsin Rapids to Waupaca in 1966. He was confirmed at St. Mary Magdalene and graduated from Waupaca High School. He entered the US Air Force in 1973 as a Security Forces Airman. In 1974, Art married his wife Christy (née Carlson) and they raised three boys, who are now married and have given them four grandsons and a granddaughter.

Art retired in 2003 as a Chief Master Sergeant and moved back to Wisconsin. Since retiring from the military, he's worked as a field safety professional for a worker's compensation insurance carrier. He's been involved with the SMM parish since returning to Wisconsin in 2005. He is also active in the Knights of Columbus, as well as serving as a high school catechist for the last three years.

Music Minister

Emma Ives

Emma Kelley

Emma Ives is a Board Certified Music Therapist who graduated from the University of Evansville. She was an active member of the parish growing up. She has been an altar server, volunteer, choir member, cantor, and has now stepped into the role of Music Minister this year. She is grateful for the support she has received and hopes to continue leading the choir and congregation in joyful song each week by integrating both contemporary and traditional songs into each Mass.

Parish Accompanist

Jason St. James

Originally from Milwaukee, Jason took up organ lessons at age 8. As a child, he would sit by the piano or organ in church, although at the time had no interest in playing in front of people. After moving to Wild Rose in August 2008, Jason began playing the organ again after stepping away for many years. In January 2009, he became the organist for Christ Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield where he stayed until May 2013. In June 2013, he started playing for St. Mary Magdalene as an accompanist.
