St. Mary Magdalene is looking for a Pastoral & Liturgical Minister to join the parish.
Duties include:
- Ensure maximum engagement of all parishioners and community through pastoral Ministry.
- Design and coordinate the Comprehensive Liturgical Program. This includes overseeing the liturgical planning, ordering, mass announcements, working with liturgical volunteers and leading the worship committee, etc.
- Communicates with music minister for the weekend and special liturgical events.
- Ministers to the sick, dying and grieving; visit the homebound on a regular basis.
- Assists the pastor with marriage and funeral preparations and other pastoral & liturgical celebrations.
Qualifications:
- Must be a practicing catholic and good standing in the community.
- Bachelor’s degree in theology or pastoral ministry preferred, or previous ministerial experience in the church environment.
- Basic knowledge of church practices and norms of the church.
- Desire to be a disciple of Christ and able to communicate with all staff, volunteers, parishioners and the ecumenical community.
- Flexible to work weekends and special events.
- 30 hours per week to be determined by pastor.
